Redwoods live only in California, where the species has been here much longer than mankind. They have survived fires, drought and other disisasters. Will they survive mankind?
I do not know what they are, but they push up out of our lawn near the woods every year. They are the color of Rhododendrons. Or else Rhododendrons are the color of these. Anyway, you need to lie on your tummy to get a good look.
This cloud formation made me think of the song...
Notice the pattern of the window screen? I did not.
She came to visit, stayed and let us admire her designs. Then she flew off in that jaggedly way that drives birds crazy.
Unlike ocean waves, creek and river waves stand still in form while the water flows through them.

So busy at task, never noticed the camera.
Not just a flower, but a piece of art... if we notice and get close.
In the 1970s when this film shot was taken, things were a lot more primitive than today!
